Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena will be the guest of honour at the Pakistan Day military parade here on Friday, the Foreign Office said today.
"The participation of President Sirisena in the parade is a demonstration of the very close ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka," it said in a statement.
During the visit, Sirisena will meet President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
The two sides will sign several MoUs on cooperation in the fields of training of civil servants, diplomats and youth development during the visit.
"The visit will provide renewed impetus to our bilateral relations and enhance the goodwill existing between the people of the two countries," the statement added.
