Taking weak cues from global markets and subdued demand at domestic spot markets, lead prices were down by over 1 per cent at Rs 113.20 per kg in futures trade in evening session today, as speculators reduced their positions.
The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery this month was trading Rs 1.15, or 1.01 per cent down at Rs 113.20 per kg in business turnover of 1,914 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in October contracts was down by Rs 1.10 or 0.95 per cent to Rs 114.25 per kg in 41 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in lead futures to a weak global trend where copper and other industrial metals weakened, weighed on lead futures prices here.
Meanwhile, lead for delivery in three months fell over 1 per cent at the London Metal Exchange.
