Lead futures shed 0.17% on muted demand, global cues

Lead prices slipped 0.17 per cent to Rs 150.65 per kg in futures trade today on sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in March fell 25 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 150.65 per kg, in a business turnover of 181 lots.
According to analysts, low demand from battery-makers in the spot market, a weak trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange kept pressure on lead futures.
