Lead rises by 0.5% on global cues
Better demand from battery makers in spot market also influenced prices

Lead futures traded higher by 0.55% to Rs 109.65 per kg today on buying by speculators amid a firm global trend and better domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in February traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.55%, at Rs 109.65 per kg in a business turnover of 272 lots.
The metal for delivery in March was up by 45 paise, or 0.41%, to Rs 110.90 per kg in 11 lots.
Market analysts said besides better demand from battery makers in spot market, firm global trend in base metals mainly helped lead prices to trade in positive zone at futures market.
