Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices slided 0.46 per cent to Rs 129.15 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed their positions, driven by a fall in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in September shed 60 paise, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 129.15 per kg in a business turnover of 1803 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in October traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 129.40 per kg in 48 lots.

Market analysts said trimming of positions by traders due to subdued demand from battery-makers in the spot market, mainly influenced lead prices at futures trade.
