Following the ouster of Partha Chatterjee as Industry Minister from the Mamata Banerjee cabinet today, opposition parties questioned the Chief Minister's claim earlier that there have been a large inflow of industrial projects in the state.
"After the Trinamool Congress government completed 100 days, Mamata Banerjee had claimed that 90 per cent work has been done. After 200 days, she had said that 100 per cent has been completed," Left Front chairman Biman Bose said.
"If there is so much inflow of industrial projects then what was the need of changing an industrial minister," Bose asked.

In his reaction, state Congress chief Pradip Bhattacharjee said, "Changing an industry minister can't help. There can be no industry until and unless industrial policy is changed."
"The Centre has already put in place a new land acquisition policy but the Trinamool Congress government here was opposing it tooth and nail. Industry cannot come to the state this way," he said.
In a major reshuffle of her 31-month ministry, Banerjee removed key party aide Partha Chatterjee from the industry portfolio, though he will continue to hold his Information and Technology and Parliamentary Affairs portfolios.
