The Struggle Committee, comprising 8 ethnic groups, announced to call off the strike during a press conference in the Capital today.

Transport services have been resumed in the Kathmandu valley and other parts of the country after the announcement.

Life was crippled for two days across the country due to the strike.

Meanwhile, tension reigned in Kailali today after clashes erupted between supporters calling for undivided far-west and Tharu activists demanding for a separate state for them.

More than 45 people were injured in the incident, according to the police.
