Singer Lily Allen hit out at David Cameron for stepping down after "Brexit" despite her support for the "Remain campaign".

The 31-year-old called out Cameron on Twitter for stepping down as Prime Minister after the referendum result and for not invoking Article 50.

She previously voiced her support but later on said that after last week's vote she was now "Brexit", due to the majority's vote.

On Saturday the "Smile" singer took to twitter saying, "I can't actually see any individual being brave enough to trigger article 50. It's career suicide."

"Im #brexit now. I'm not sure the prime minister has the same respect for democracy that I do. We don't leave till #Article50, Our PM is spineless and doesn't care about democracy," she said.

"This is thoroughly Un British behaviour, watch hem all peddle out "we need to come together "when they all do exactly the opposite, squabble," she added.

She also wrote in reply to a user, "Who on earth kind of PM calls a referendum, and has no plan for the out come? That's reckless.
