With a day to go before Valmiki Jayanti, Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner Jaskiran Singh today prohibited the sale of liqour and meat till tomorrow within city limits.
An official release said here this evening that the prohibitory orders were issued by DC under Section 144 of CrPC Act.
The order said that all liquor, meat shops will remain closed till tomorrow within city limits of Phagwara.
