Crude palm oil fall by 0.4% on low demand

Crude palm oil prices were down by 0.44% to Rs 431.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today after speculators trimmed positions amid sluggish demand at the spot market.
In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in August declined by Rs 1.90, or 0.44%, to Rs 431.80 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 91 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contracts traded lower by 90 paise, or 0.21%, at Rs 431.90 per 10 kg in 47 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in crude palm oil futures to offloading of positions by speculators, triggered by sluggish demand in the spot market.
