Tihar Jail authorities were today directed by a Delhi court to place before it on October 14 all the medical records of former BSP MP Dhananjay Singh's wife Jagriti Singh who was chargesheeted, along with her husband, in connection with murder of their maid.

The court's direction came after the public prosecutor and the counsel, appearing for Jagriti, told the judge that she was scheduled to be taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a check-up tomorrow by the jail authorities.

Advocate Pramod Dubey, appearing for Jagriti, told the court that the doctors at AIIMS had asked her to visit them on October 6 but the jail authorities could not go on that day and now they were supposed to take her to hospital tomorrow.

The counsel also apprised the court that the reports of Jagriti's medical test conducted at AIIMS on October 1 were still awaited.

After hearing the submissions of the prosecutor and the defence counsel, the court fixed the matter for October 14 for hearing Jagriti's plea seeking interim bail on health grounds.

"Jail authorities are directed to bring all medical records of accused Jagriti on October 14," Additional Sessions Judge Lokesh Kumar Sharma said.

In pursuance to the court's order, the jail authorities had earlier submitted a report on Jagriti's medical condition.

They had forwarded the reports received from AIIMS which opined that Jagriti was having stone in her gall bladder and she has only one kidney.

The court had earlier asked the Medical Superintendent of AIIMS to conduct a detailed medical examination of Jagriti who is in judicial custody.

Jagriti had, in her plea seeking interim bail, said that she was suffering from gall bladder stone and needed to undergo a surgery for her ailment due to her deteriorating medical condition.
