Punjab Technical Education minister Anil Joshi today ordered that strict discipline should be maintained in the state's ITIs.
In a release issued here today, Joshi said he has received some complaints about officials or employees that they were not attending institutions on time.
To maintain discipline in ITIs, it has now been decided that all principals would have to send a daily email to head office regarding presence of officials and employees in their institution, he said.
The minister has also asked higher officials of the department to fix responsibility of ITI principals to maintain discipline in their respective institutions.
