A major fire broke out at a surgical equipment manufacturing factory in Modi Nagar area of the district this evening injuring four persons.
At least 10 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. The fire was not put off till the last reports came in.
SHO Modi Nagar Deepak Sharma told that fire broke out at Vikas Surgical manufacturers in Niwari Road area.

Four workers, including one woman employee, were trapped inside the building and received burn injuries.
All of them were rushed to hospital, police said, adding that the cause of fire could not be ascertained.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Atul Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh and other district administrations officials have reached the site and are supervising the fire fighting and rescue operations.

In the afternoon, a minor fire broke out on the first floor of a building in Lady Hardinge Medical College here. No casualty was reported in the incident, police said.
The incident, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in an AC, took place around 12.20 PM, following which three fire tenders were rushed to the hospital premises, a fire official said adding that the blaze was brought under control by 1 PM.
