A journalist employed with a leading national daily was robbed off her mobile phone at gunpoint by unidentified bike-borne persons near Kaushambi metro railway station, police said.
The victim, Kritika Sharma, was returning to her home in a rickshaw yesterday when two motorcycle-borne persons tried to snatch her mobile phone, Deputy Superintendent of Police Atul Yadav said.
When she resisted their attempt, they threatened her with a gun and looted the phone, Yadav said.
An FIR has been registered at Indirapuram Police Station, the DSP said, adding, the IMEI number of the phone has been put on electronic surveillance.
When the phone is operated by the robbers they will be nabbed, the DSP further said.
