A 26-year-old media person committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his Nyaykhand area flat, police said today.
The deceased has been identified as Aman Khanduri. He used to work as a video editor with a news channel. Aman's family said that last night he went to his room after having dinner, they said.
In the morning, family members entered his room and discovered his body, said Deputy SP Atul Yadav.
No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.
The body has been sent for postmortem at ascertain the cause of his death. An FIR has been registered, police said.
Further investigation to ascertain the reason behind his suicide, they added.
