Malik on 30-hour hunger strike

Separatist JKLF leader Yasin Malik today began 30-hour hunger strike against the alleged human rights violations in Kashmir.
"Today we are here protesting against the criminal silence and double standards" of the international community, he told reporters as he began the hunger strike.
Malik said the international community was maintaining silence on alleged human rights violations in Kashmir as raising this issue "may harm their trade and business interests with India".
He was joined by dozens of JKLF supporters, sympathisers and relatives of some youth who were killed in police or CRPF action in recent times.
