Showcasing the creative genius of West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today opened Biswa Bangla, a new state emporium store here.
There are more than 5000 items from handloom to handicrafts to forest products, spices, tea, literature under one roof here will be available now, Mamata said after inaugurating the store.
The state-of-the-art outlet has come up following renovation and conversion of the Manjusha Emporium at the Connaught Place here.

She said this is the seventh Bishwa Bangla showroom which opened here. "Products manufactured by poor artisans and I request all to visit the store," she said.
Aimed at catering to domestic consumers as also building brand Bengal in the international market, the shop is expected to be one-stop shop for traditional sarees, handloom products and hand-crafted marvels of Bengal, and Darjeeling tea as well as Bangla books, CDs of Bengali music and classic films will also be available at Biswa Bangla.
West Bengal State Export Promotion Society is implementing the setting up of Biswa Bangla outlets as a greenfield project or by converting existing showrooms of other state government corporations in different parts of West Bengal and India.
