Man, 35, attempts to sexually assault 3-year-old girl: Police

A 35-year-old man allegedly attempted to sexually assault a three-year-old girl today in southeast Delhis Sarita Vihar area, the police said.

The girl was playing in front of her house when the accused took her to the first floor of the building and started removing her clothes, they added.

Hearing the girl's cry for help, her paternal aunt rushed there and saw the accused with the girl, the police said.

She informed the neighbours who caught hold of the accused and handed him over to the police. The accused works as a security guard in Jasola. The girl's father is a street-vendor and sells vegetables, police said.
