Man assaulted over property dispute in UP

A man was shot at and beaten up by a group of assailants allegedly over a property dispute in Mohammad Nagar Bajhera village here, police said today.

Ramdas was beaten up by lathis (sticks) and shots were fired at him by a group led by one Pavnesh. They had come to Ramdas' residential construction site and tussled with him, they said.

The accused allegedly fired at the Ramdas but he had a narrow escape, police said.

An FIR was lodged in this connection and a case has been registered against Pavnesh and his accomplices Yashveer, Kamuluddin, Ramniwas, Subhash and Ashok for the alleged firing and assault.
 

Ramdas has been admitted to a nearby hospital and police are yet to make any arrest.
