Man caught with fake currency

A man carrying fake currency with a face value of Rs 80,800 was arrested here, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, police yesterday intercepted a car at Ajronda Chowk and found fake currency notes in the denomination of Rs 100 with a face value of Rs 80,800 in a bag during checking, a police spokesperson said.

The driver, identified as Anshul Gupta, resident of Gurgaon, is being questioned, he added.
