Man commits suicide by consuming poisonous substance

A 35-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance in Patel Nagar (III) here, police said today.

"Ravinder Singh consumed Sulphas tablets yesterday night and though he was rushed to a nearby hospital by his family members he died during treatment," SP-City Aakash Tomar said.

On being informed, Sihani Gate Police reached the hospital and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem, he said.

No suicide note was found at the spot. A case has been registered and the police are investigating the matter, the SP said.
