Man dies in road accident in Jammu

A 65-year-old man died when a car he was driving collided with another vehicle coming from opposite direction in Jammu city.

Vijay Kumar, a resident of Channi Himat, was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a mini-bus coming from opposite direction near KC Theatre in the city, yesterday, a police spokesman said today.

He said that Kumar was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC) where he succumbed to his injuries.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the relatives after completing all legal and medical formalities, he said.

He said that a case was registered and efforts were on to nab the accused who managed to escape from the spot.
