Man falls from running train, injured

A 40-year-old man got injured after falling down from a running train between Santragachi and Maurigram stations in Howrah district this evening, GRP officials said.

The injured man, identified as Jaheer Abbas, was lifted from the spot by the guard and driver of the up Panskura local train and admitted him to a hospital.

However, it was not yet clear how Abbas fell from the train.
