Man gets 10 years imprisonment for raping young woman

A court here today sentenced a man to ten years imprisonment for raping a 22-year-old woman seven years ago.

Fast track court judge Poonam Rajput also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000on the accused Zahur after holding him guilty under sections 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt)and 376 (punishment for rape) of IPC.

The victim was raped by the accused at her house in Rehmatnagar locality here when she was alone on January 6, 2009.
