A man has been sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment by a local court for raping a minor in 2013.
Additional District and Session's Judge Gurupreet Singh convicted Umesh alias Chini yesterday and also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on him.
Chini had raped a 16-year-old girl on February 16, 2013 in Kuraoli block here when she had gone to the fields.
An FIR was lodged by the victim's cousin at Kuraoli police station.
The court also slapped fine of Rs 30,000 on the convict.
