Man held with 27 kg of cannabis in Jammu

One person was arrested and 27 kilograms of cannabis was seized from his possession here today, police said.

"We have arrested one Mohammad Sajjad and recovered 27 kilograms of cannabis from him in Narwal area of Jammu city," a police official said.

We have also seized the vehicle in which the contraband was being smuggled, he said.

A case has been lodged against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and investigation is underway, the official said.
