Man killed by tiger in Sunderbans

A man died after he was attacked by a tiger in the Sunderban area of South 24 Parganas, forest department officials said today.

A group of people were catching crabs in Tir Khali forest when a tiger pounced upon Uday Halder and dragged him in the forest, the official said.

Other members of the group entered the forest in search of Halder, but found his mangled body lying there.
