A 55-year-old man was killed in a bear attack at an estate near Valparai in the district early today.
A few estate workers who were going for work noticed the body of Susai, a resident of waterfall estate, lying amid the bush, police said.
On receiving information, police and forest officials rushed to the spot and found the footmarks of the animal, they said.
