Man kills six-month-old daughter by throwing her on the floor

A man allegedly killed his six-month-old daughter by throwing her to the floor of the house after a quarrel with his wife in Murshidabad district, police said Sunday.

The incident happened in Kandi area of the district Friday morning when the man following a quarrel with his wife threw the baby girl on the floor of the house, a senior police officer said quoting the complaint of the woman.

The man is absconding after the incident.

A complaint was lodged Sunday with the Salar police station by the baby's mother, who complained of her husband's increasing torture after she gave birth to a girl, they said.

 

"Family members rushed the baby to the Burdwan Medical College where she was declared brought dead. We have got a complaint from the mother against her husband for allegedly killing the baby. The father is absconding. We are looking for him," he said.
