Man makes extortion demand from timber trader

A timber trader here has alleged that a man entered his factory today and demanded Rs 50,000 as extortion money, the police said.

Shaukin Saifi in his complaint claimed that a man from Salempur came to his factory in the Bilaspur area, they said.

The complainant said when he refused to pay the money, the man threatened to kill him, Dankaur Police station in- charge F A Pundir said.

The matter is being probed, he said.
