Man nabbed for stealing woman's purse at Delhi Metro station

A man has been apprehended and handed over to police for allegedly stealing a woman's purse at Shadipur Metro station here, officials said today.

Yesterday morning, Anil picked up a woman's purse from the X-ray baggage scanner and made a hasty retreat towards the exit gate, officials said.

An on-duty CISF official, manning the X-ray scanner, spotted this and apprehended the accused, they said.

"CCTV analysis revealed Anil had done a similar act a few days back at another station. He has been handed over to police," officials said.
