Man penalised for talking on mobile in court room

A local court here penalised a 50-year-old man for using mobile phone in the court room.

Babaji Rout, a resident of Badapalgada, was found using cell phone in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court room yesterday.

Judge R N Panda expressed displeasure as trial of a case was affected after the mobile rang and the man continued to talk.

However, Rout was let off after he paid Rs 200 as penalty as per order of the court, Secretary, Kendrapara Bar Association, Nrsingha Charan Rout.
