Man sentenced to life for killing wife over dowry

A local court today awarded life imprisonment to a man for killing his wife for dowry.

The accused identified as Yasin had poisoned his wife Subuhi with the help of his brother in December 2009, when she refused to fulfill his dowry demands.

Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dayaram also awarded 10 years imprisonment to Yasin, the brother of the accused and imposed a fine of Rs 2500 on each of them.
