Man shoots dead paramour, kills self

A married woman was shot dead today allegedly by her paramour before he turned the gun on himself, police said.

According to police, Anil (30) first shot the woman dead while she was working in the fields and thereafter took his own life at Bhura village in the Kairana police station area in Shamli district.

According to Circle Officer Nishank Sharma, the victim and Anil had a heated exchange before he shot her.

The two bodies have been sent for post-mortem, police said, adding that security has been tightened in the village following the incident.
