Man surrenders after killing wife

A 25-year-old man today surrendered before the police after murdering his wife at Kumbharpara area here, the police said.

Officers of the Dhanupali police station said the couple had a quarrel today, following which Firoz attacked Puja with an iron road, killing her on the spot.

Later he went the town police station and surrendered, they said.

Inspector-in-charge of the Dhanupali police station, Tophan Bag said family dispute was the reason behind the incident and the matter was being probed.
