Man throttles fiance to death; arrested

A 26-year-old man allegedly throttled his fiance to death here after he grew suspicious of her character, police said today.

The incident came to light yesterday after the arrest of accused Kumar Valmik Patil, who took his fiance Meenal Dinesh Jubele (20) to a lodge in Akloli on December 4 an killed her, API G K Mathondkar of Ganeshpuri falling under Bhiwandi taluka here, told PTI.

Jubele's body was recovered a day after from Sangeeta Lodge following which police filed a case of accidental death.

However, her postmortem revealed that she was murdered after which a case of murder was registered and the accused was arrested.
 

Both are residents of Shedgaon in Ganeshpuri and were to get married soon, police added.
