A man wanted by the Chhattisgarh police for allegedly duping investors to the tune of crores of rupees has been arrested in Thane city, Maharashtra.
The Chhattisgarh police had registered a case under the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act against Priti Paul Ramsingh Sethi (63) at Tumgaon in Mahasamund district in December 2015.
Sethi had set up an investment company in Tumgaon and duped several investors by promising them high returns on deposits, said senior police inspector, Thane crime branch, Nitin Thakre.

He had set up such companies in Assam, Tripura, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand too, the police officer said.
Sethi, who was on the run for the last two years, was finally tracked down by Chhattisgarh police to Bhiwandi in Thane district, and he was arrested at the Thane railway station today.
