Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi today called on Sikkim Governor Shriniwas Patil at Raj Bhavan here.
She arrived in the state capital on a three-day visit during which she is scheduled to visit various government agencies and women and child development functionaries of the state, an official release said.
During a brief meeting, the Governor gave an account of the visits of former prime ministers Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to Sikkim to the Union Minister for Women and Child Development.
