Married woman commits suicide in Ghaziabad

A 23-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide at her house by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in Bamheta village here, police said today.

SHO Ashok Shishodia said that Sandhya was living in a rented house along with her husband Awadh Thakur, and their two children.

Sandhya took the extreme step last night when her husband was not at home, he said.

Later, police reached the spot and disentangled the body, the SHO said, adding that no suicide note has been recovered and the body sent for post-mortem.
