The maximum temperatures across Punjab and Haryana continued to hover around normal level with Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recording a maximum of 36 degrees Celsius, a MeT Department report said.
Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius while Hisar and Narula's respective maximum temperature settled at 38.7 and 37.5 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 37.6 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperatures at Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 36.5 and 37.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to the MeT department forecast, it would mainly be sunny over the next few days in the two states.
