Maximum temperatures continued to hover close to normal levels today at most places in Punjab and Haryana.
Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal, a MeT Department report said.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 33.4 degrees Celsius while Hisar's maximum settled at 36.2 degrees Celsius.

Karnal and Narnaul recorded maximum temperatures of 32.4 and 33 degrees Celsius respectively.
Amritsar in Punjab recorded a high of 34.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperatures of Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 34.2 and 34.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
The MeT Department has forecast the possibility of rain at isolated places in the two states tomorrow.
