The maximum temperature today hovered close to normal levels across Punjab and Haryana, with weather remaining generally dry in both the states.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 33.7 degrees Celsius, the MeT report said.
Amritsar in Punjab registered a high of 33.6 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana recorded a maximum of 33.1 degrees Celsius. Patiala's maximum settled at 33.2 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 33.8 degrees Celsius.
Hisar's maximum settled at 32 degrees Celsius while Karnal recorded a high of 33 degrees Celsius and Narnaul 29 degrees Celsius.
