Mechanised boat collides with Pamban bridge

A mechanised fishing boat, which was anchored in Pamban north sea and got snapped and pushed by rough seam collided with the Pamban bridge tonight, police said.

The signal cable got disconnected in the impact in the of collision, police said.

The bridge could not be operated and the trains will be terminated at Mandapam till the repairs were completed, they said.

Later the boat was retrieved, police said.
