Meghalaya youth Cong rally against fuel price hike

Meghalaya Youth Congress activists today organised a rally against the BJP led NDA government at the Centre for the rising price hike of fuel and demanded immediate roll back of central excise duties on petrol and diesel.
Though the price of imported crude oil dropped, the Centre has been consistently increasing excise and other levies to increase its tax kitty, Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress president Richard Marak said.
The hike in petroleum price has affected price of essential commodities, he said at the rally.
Marak said the price spike would fetch enormous gains for oil companies.
