Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today said some persons were "preoccupied with victimising" officers of the Union Territory and attempting to "paralyse" the administration.
The chief minister's reaction comes a day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed cases against two IAS officers and 11 officials of the Puducherry health department in connection with the alleged irregularities in the admission procedure for post graduate medical courses in private institutions in the UT.
"Some persons who are pre-occupied with victimising officers and paralysing the administration have been in the practice offrequently writing to the Centre, making baseless allegations," Narayanasamy told reporters in a veiled reference to Lt Governor Kiran Bedi shooting off letters to the Centre.

However, he did not elaborate.
Narayanasamy said, "I do not want to say anything about the CBI probe."
"I can say with full firmness thatthe officers had not violated any rules or procedures.. they had carried out admission process and posted the details of the selection in the website of the admission committee in a transparent manner," he said.
The CBI had booked two IAS officers, G Narendra Kumar, chairman of the Puducherry Centralised Admission Committee and BR Babu,then health secretary registrar of Pondicherry Universityand 11 Puducherry government officials.
There are separate committees appointed by the Madras High Court to fix fees and monitor the admission process in the medical colleges.
The Medical Council of India (MCI) is also an apex statutory body that supervises admission into the colleges, he said.
"The Puducherry government will never be responsible for any lapse on the part of the managements of private institutions," he said.
Meanwhile, Bedi left for New Delhi on a week-long visit.
An official sourcetold PTI that she would return to Puducherry on Wednesday.
When asked if the Lt governor had planned to meet any of the Central ministers, the official source replied in the negative.
The former IPS officer has been at loggerheads with the Congress government here on several issues since taking over as Lt governor last year.
