Mel B breaks out of Broadway character to perform 'Wannabe'

Singer Mel B surprised her fans when she sang a lyric from Spice Girls' "Wannabe", breaking her Broadway role.

The 41-year-old former band member posted a video snippet on social media where she explained how she went the Roxy Hart way during one of her last shows in Broadway's Chicago.

"Here is a snippet of me last night doing my last show In @chicagomusical playing Roxie heart (sic) breaking character busting out some spice power haha #nyc #broadwaybaby," wrote Mel B along side the video.

One can see the ex Spice Girl singing the lines, "So, here's a story from A to Z... You wanna get with me, you gotta listen carefully."
 

The songstress also posted a commemorative tweet marking the end of her Broadway role.

"Boom @ChicagoMusical all done and I didn't cancel 1 show," she wrote.
