Miller sale, low demand keep sugar under pressure

Sugar extended losses for the second straight day, with prices falling by up to Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sustained selling by millers.
However, selective buying by bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers restricted the fall in prices.
Marketmen said constant supplies from mills continued to put pressure on the sweetener prices.
