About 35 people, on a vacation trip to a hill station, were injured when the mini bus in which they were travelling, rolled down into a gorge on a ghat road near here today, police said.
The bus, on its way to Ponmudi from Kollam, came to an abrupt halt at a hairpin bend near Kulathikkara estate. As the driver attempted to re-start the engine, the bus moved back and fell down into the 50-feet deep gorge.
The injured, including women and children, were first rushed to a nearby government hospital and later shifted to the Medical College Hospital here, where their condition was stated to be stable, they said.
The driver was among the injured, police said.
