A minor girl was allegedly beaten to death by her stepmother over a family dispute at Hath Choya village in the neighbouring Shamli district, police said today.
The victim, identifed as Shamim (16), was yesterday beaten to death by her stepmother Sitara Begum in a conspiracy that allegedly involved her father Shokin also, said Additional SP Shalok Kumar while quoting the complaint lodged by the girl's brother.
"Both the accused have been arrested," the officer said.
A case has been registered and the police is investigating the matter for further details, he added.
