Minor girl raped in Punjab

A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Tattle village in the district, police said today.

The 15-year-old girl hailing from Attepur village yesterday lodged a complaint against one Amrik Singh, a resident of the same village, alleging that he took her to his native village and raped her, they said.

A case has been registered in this connection and medical examination of the girl has confirmed rape, police said, adding that efforts are on to nab the absconding accused.
